Again, diplexers are used at medium wave broadcasting stations and also be used as a backup device. For instance, maintenance work at one antenna of a medium wave transmission site has two antennas transmitting on dual frequencies.
The other antenna can be used to broadcast both channels and if any problem persists in using the second transmitter, a diplexer is used on a permanent basis.
