Earthenware refers to a range of articles made from ceramic materials and used for a number of purposes including tableware, pottery, and decorative objects. Faience is a French word that refers to tin glazed earthenware. The word is derived from Faenza town in village which makes the tin glazed earthenware. Faience is more or less same like majolica and delft pottery. This Faience is traditionally red earthenware covered with a white lead based glaze.
