Yagi-Uda arrayis another type of directional radio antenna that can be used for long-distance Wi-Fi networking. These antennas are typically used to extend the range of outdoor hotspots in specific directions, or to reach an outbuilding, as television antennas and so on. They have strong directivity, and must be aligned in the direction of the transmitting station.

Yagi-Uda is a dipole antenna with director and reflector elements attached to direct and reflect the radio wave.Parabola antenna isused for receiving satellite broadcasts. These antennas have very strong directivity and require fine directional adjustment, but they can use the power of the radio waves efficiently.

Whip (rod) antennas are used for mobile phones and the Non-directional antenna with equal sensitivity in any direction.Dipole antenna: used for amateur and so on. Most widely used class of antenna. These produces a radiation pattern approximating that an elementary electric dipole with a radiating structure supporting a line current so energized that the current has only one node at each end.
